ETI Member Company Profile
Drew Technologies

Founded in 1995, Drew Tech is a Detroit-area engineering company focused on reprogramming and diagnostics technology. Drew Technologies helped write the original SAE J2534 standard for reprogramming cars, and has participated in its development every year since inception. The original CarDAQ, built by Drew Technologies, was the first J2534 flash programming tool to be built or sold.

Drew Tech’s J2534 programming tools were originally designed for automakers to use in new vehicle development, manufacturing, testing, and validation. Every Drew Tech product was built to exceed the durability and performance demands that come from OEM and engineering use. The CarDAQ reputation shows from its acceptance by more automakers than any other J2534 tool.

As the J2534 standard matured and the OEMs made reprogramming websites available for repair shops, Drew Tech’s expansion of J2534 products into the repair shop seemed like a natural fit.  Advances in the industry have lead to adoption of SAE J2534 for factory diagnostics by many automakers. In recent years automakers such as Toyota, Jaguar, Land Rover, BMW, and Volvo have all made their factory diagnostics software available to the aftermarket using J2534.

Drew Technologies is committed to helping the aftermarket achieve a universal standard for both reprogramming and diagnostics.
